moment

We started rolling as soon as I had reached the front.  There were tonnes of cool things like glowing tunnels, murals and a train bypass.  Finally, we reached the end and left.

EXPLODED MOMENT!!!!

Gripping the faded handle on the pole, the driver entered.  Reaching the control panel he was ready. Removing the handbrake from position the train began sliding down the rails.  We were rolling through what felt like blindness. Pitch black in midday until the opening. “Sunlight,” screamed Isabelle (my cousin) as we pulled out into the graffitied walls.  Now we could see millions of gang signs which was instantly swapped into a giant tunnel lit by light which is the only description I can give. Lights upon lights upon lights. It was the exact opposite of the other tunnels.  Black to bright. We were leaving the tunnel and my eyes had picked up on an oncoming carriage.

We came head on and dodged the collision with extra track causing a bypass.  Everyone was waving and screaming while running to the back. From where I was, I couldn’t see everyone but the back six or seven rows could see straight through the returning car.  Taking the thought of traveling back a few rows but there were other kids that would have gladly removed me from my position. The carriage was what felt to be stuck. Hauling out of place the car picked up speed with about 3 km/h.  Just up ahead was the giant tunnels again but this time there were, yep another bunch of lights. Instead of description less bright flickers they could be described as that but colour changing. I couldn’t stand the screaming kids, even my brother was in on the noise!   We exited the tunnel and came to a screeching halt. *Opening doors* “TTttffff,” the doors were opened and we were off at Central Wellington.
