Persuasive writing for longer weekends!
Dear Frimley School teachers
Did you ever think weekends are too short?
I think we should have half an hour extra from Monday to Thursday at school, so that we can have Friday off?
I think we should have three days off over the weekends please!
Firstly, we only have two days on the weekends and five weekdays. I think it's a long wait for hardly anything. We work so hard at school but we don't have any time to have fun on the weekend.
Secondly, our weekends just go so fast! When weekends start, kids get so excited but only get 2 days (48 Hours)! This is not enough time to relax and recover from our brain working so hard at school.
Thirdly on the weekends, you can do anything but then you're back to school after only a short amount of time. Over the weekends, your fun time gets extended and you get longer time with your family and friends.
We need longer weekends!!!!

Narrative story
The Tiger who lost it's stripes
Once upon a time there was a Tiger and he went exploring everyday.
One day he found a blackberry bush and started running around it.
He saw the bushes starting to move and started to run away from the blackberry bush but got his stripes stuck on the spikes.
After he had got out of view from the blackberry bush he had realized his stripes had gone missing.
He started wondering where his stripes had gone but while he was thinking a woodpecker came and asked why the tiger had no stripes.
He told him about seeing the bush move and how he started running and lost his stripes.
Then the woodpecker asked some questions and the tiger started answering them.
Finally they found out that the stripes had got stuck on the spikes and the bush was moving because the woodpecker was in it.
At last they found the stripes and everyone started celebrating.
